TE WHĀNAU AROHANUI

Grounded in tikanga, empowered by whakapapa

Hūtia te rito o te harakeke
Kei hea te kōmako e kō?
Kī mai ki ahau
He aha te mea nui?
He at ate mea nui o te ao?
Māku e kī atu
He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.

OUR
KAUPAPA

Founded in 1986, Roka Hurihia and Kerry Cameron formed a partnership with Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki in 1988. This led to the establishment

of Te Whānau Arohanui Trust in Waitati, Dunedin - a charitable trust dedicated to sheltering and nurturing young people in need of care. Our vision is to create a safe haven where tamariki and whānau can come together, be nurtured, and reach their full potential - free from harmful influences.
